New Meter Reading Requirements

Dear customers of Nigton Wakefield Water Supply Company, 

 During the April 6th 2023 Nigton Wakefield water board meeting, The board voted that customers should read their own water meter meters starting July 1st of 2023. This decision was made based on the monetary savings for the water company as well as customer disputes of meter readings. Customers choosing not to read their own meter as of June 1st 2023 will incur a $15 charge to their account each month that the meter reading is not turned in by the 23rd of the month.  Meter should be read between the 20th and the 23rd and meter readings can be submitted via email text Who are included with your monthly payment.

Instruction  for reading your water meter :

1)      Locate your meter box.

2)      Ensure that there is no debris on top of the meter.

3)      Locate the numbers that are on the top of your meter (these numbers will move.)

4)      Write down or take a photo of all of the numbers and submit it to the water company.

5)      All meter reading submissions will need the Account number, name on the account, and meter reading. Readings missing the account number will not be accepted
